Battle of the Brands - Photostory

The first edition of the "Battle of the Brands", was held at the disused airport in New Town Nowe Miasto nad Pilicą.

The organizers idea of the Battle, was to integrate off-road community within a few most popular brands of vehicles.

At the camp, which was inspired by the legendary Dresden-Wroclaw rally arrived 142 cars including accompanying crews of "guest" class. Participants had access to a catering, children's village and in the evenings there were concerts and meetings with travelers.

The competition took place in teams, which had the choice of three routes with elements of games competitions (for families) crossing (for cars prepared for driving in rough terrain) and speed sections.

The competition began on Friday with 2.5 hour race around the airport on a 11 km long place. On Saturday organizers marked two terrain loops around Nowe Miasto nad Pilicą, a total of about 100 km, where the crews had to pass three tests: dexterity, crossing and speed. Sunday began with a race on the quarter of mile, followed by a very spectacular competition which was car dragging car with the kinetic ropes.

The final element, on Sunday morning was a competition called "family car", involving the load as many people into the car of the brand as possible.

In this competition decisively won the Toyota Hillux, which could fit 56 people who beat tiny Samurai with the result of more than double. Suzuki Samurai placed 23 people which for such a small car is a great result. Applause for Suzuki Team for sense of humor.

Of the six brands the most points scored Jeep, ahead of Mitsubishi and Suzuki.

Jeep owners were the largest group (39 cars) and possessed the best prepared roadsters. Commander 'Kazo" and "The Pack” created a brave and disciplined Team.

Mitsubishi Team (13 cars) proved to be unbeatable at dexterity tests, where teamwork was necessary and direct involvement of the participants. Thus they catch up lost points on crossing.

Suzuki Team (12 cars) was the smallest, but the most motivated group in accordance with the principle of "not the quantity but the quality what matters". Showed a determination and teamwork, winning the most of tug of war duels. Perhaps it was influenced by athlete regime.

Toyota (17 cars) had no representation in the crossing and concentrated on speed trials, using the dynamics and power of their vehicles. Toyota Drivers were unrivaled on the special stages.

it seems surprising the 5 result of Nissan (32 cars). Drivers Nissans more than the competition put on integration. Daily parties echoed around the camp.

Land Rover (20 cars) proved to be very little courageous brand and participants nobly drove  the trails and enjoyed the beautiful views.

The next Battle is already in the plans, but the organizers do not want to reveal the details.
